Are you looking for a FUN way to study the elements of the periodic table? This colorful and engaging game provides information about the elements and how they are used, all in a format familiar to even the youngest students.
Similar to the popular Memory games we all played as youngsters, the Periodic Table Matching Game allows kids to learn while they play, matching pairs of cards to get the most points. Each set of cards contains information about a unique element on the periodic table, including the name, symbol, atomic number, and the element’s claim to fame, or what it is known for in the real world.
Your students will enjoy the bright and colorful illustrations, and they’ll have fun playing a game for classroom credit! You will love that they are memorizing the elements in an easy way they are sure to remember.
Print the pages on cardstock and cut them out carefully. Then play the Periodic Table Matching Game with as many or as few elements as you want. Try concentrating on just the halogens, the noble gases or the alkaline earth metals. Feeling adventuresome and have a lot of space? Give the whole table a try!
Special thanks to Keith Enevoldson for making the illustrations used on these cards available. If not for his hard work, the Periodic Table Matching Game would probably not exist. Get yours today!
