Take Your Homeschool on the Road

If you are considering a spring road trip to see family, and want to continue with some of your school work, or just keep yourself connected, it’s time to pick up that car-hood-sized map of the USA to mark some of these locations.   Have the kids help you mark them, it will be a great geography lesson!

Thanks to the wonderful writers at Learning Tangent Magazine and a few helpful readers, we have been able to assemble a list of locations with free or inexpensive Wi-Fi for your use on the road. Even if it is just down the road to the coffee shop to get out of the house, we think it’s wonderful to have options.

It is important to note that not every outlet of these chains will offer Wi-Fi, we just know that many of them do.

Large chains with Wi-fi:

Bojangles Chicken
Burger King
Chipotle
Denny’s
Einstein Bros.
Home Depot
Jack in the Box
Lowes
Krystal Restaurants
Panera Bread
McDonalds
Staples
Starbucks
Target
Vons/Safeway

Local Establishments with Wi-Fi:

Most coffee shops have Wi-Fi available to use, just ask them – they provide it as a service to their customers.
