The purpose of this is just so you know that when you submit an article to Learning Tangent Magazine that we are probably going to link to it, reprint it if it's really good, quote from it and advertise the magazine using it. Just understand that this is the purpose of our magazine - to share articles, information, and more in order to improve the ability of homeschoolers to do what we do best.
Here's the fine print:
We are delighted that you are interested in submitting your article, poem, artwork or photography(we'll refer to these as "article(s)") to Learning Tangent Magazine.
Please note that by submitting your article to Learning Tangent Magazine, you are granting Learning Tangent Magazine. the license to duplicate, display, transmit, etc. your article in all media in perpetuity.
By submitting an article to Learning Tangent Magazine, and agreeing to the terms of this Submission Agreement, you affirm that this article is original to you, that you own all necessary rights to this work, and that the article does not defame or otherwise violate the rights, copyrights, trademarks, privacy, or reputation of any third party.
You grant Learning Tangent Magazine and its representatives a non-exclusive, assignable, royalty-free, perpetual world-wide permanent license to duplicate, display, distribute, excerpt, or transmit the article, in any format or media known or hereafter known. Learning Tangent Magazine shall have the right to own or register copyrights to any works or compilations created by Learning Tangent Magazine that contain the article, in whole or in part.
You agree to indemnify and hold Learning Tangent Magazine harmless against any claims asserted by any third parties that allege the article violates their rights, or from any breach by you of your promises in this Agreement. You shall be responsible for any costs incurred by Learning Tangent Magazine for defense or settlement of third- party claims, including, but not limited to, reasonable attorneys’ fees of Learning Tangent Magazine.
You understand that submitting an article does not guarantee that your work will be used, displayed, or otherwise reproduced. Articles may be archived for public use, or reproduced in audio or video form, published in print or online, or in any other way. The decision of which and how articles will be used will be at the sole discretion of Learning Tangent Magazine.
You affirm that you are at least 18 years of age and possess the legal right and ability to enter into this Agreement, or that you are the parent or legal guardian of the minor who is submitting the article .
Submitting your article either through the submission form or via email indicates that you agree to all the terms contained in this agreement.
